Item Details

Description

A mid-twentieth century Italian book mount or display case, with a wood effect base, the silver mount with foliate decoration and initialled cartouche to the centre. Italian assay marks alongside 800, maker or retailer's label to reverse. Maximum length measures 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm).

Condition

The lot appears in fairly good overall condition displaying some general wear, surface scratches and marks. Remnants of polish to the mount and it is a dull gold colour in appearance. The sticker to the reverse reads 'Gioielleria D. Puleo Catania'.
