Description
An early 20th century gold aquamarine and split pearl bar brooch and a chain. The brooch designed as a circular-shape aquamarine, with split pearl sides, to the double bar, together with a later 9ct gold box-link chain. Chain with import marks for Sheffield, 1978. Length of brooch 4.9cms. Length of chain 46cms. Weight 7gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. The brooch is bent of streight, replacement metal pin/Aquamarine light blue, weak saturation of colour, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stone in good condition. The split pearls have a grey body colour. Minor scratches to the chain. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
