Description
A late 19th century 9ct gold and silver diamond bar brooch. The graduated old-cut diamond horseshoe, with similarly-cut diamond foliate sides, to the old-cut diamond highlights and terminals. Estimated total diamond weight 0.55ct. Length 3.9cms. Weight 2.8gms.
Condition
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are fairly bright. Light nicks and chips can be seen to some. Fine inclusions can be seen under magnification. Some with significant inclusions.
