In the mirror a scene with figures at the court
The moon, flanked by two constellations, is found in the sky
A scholar's rocks with a banana tree on the right side
The flag is adorned with dense floral ornaments, therein cartridges with additional flowers and ruyi scepters
Base with the four-character Yongzheng mark in iron red

The plate is in good condition with slight signs of age and use such as minimal wear to the painting here and there. The diameter is 37.5 cm and the height measures 6.5 cm.
Famille Verte
The term Famille Verte describes a specific sort of Chinese export porcelain from the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th centuries. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1662-1722), Chinese porcelain manufacturers strove to create new forms and decorative techniques to cater to their clients’ needs in China and abroad. One of these decorations became particularly successful – the Famille Verte. Recognisable components are finely detailed decorations in enamel paint, over a coat of glaze – chiefly executed and showing various shades of green.
