Description

HIGH-RELIEF BUST METAL KEROSENE LAMP, heavy cast metal, four-sided base, with hammered panels each centering a bust in relief, cornered with floral and leaf decoration, on four hoof feet. Fitted with an amber opalescent Hobnail pattern rolling ruffled-top shade and matching chimney. Shade possibly Phoenix Art Glass Co. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 16 1/4" H to top of shade, base 8 1/2" to top of collar.
Provenance: Collection of Rick Hornwood of Camarillo, CA.

Condition

Base and burner have been electrified. Outside fitter rim of shade has a 1/2" L fishscale chip. Chimney is cracked.
