1708. The beer mug with a bottom heavy body, painted in underglaze blue on a white ground depicting various birds among flowering prunus, fitted with a pewter handle casing, pewter foot and pewter lid, with pewter "1708" marks to the inner lid, with a thumb lever. Approx. 8 1/4 by 4 1/4 in., 21 by 10.9 cm.
