Georg Jensen (1866-1935)
The Danish silversmith and artist Georg Jensen started to produce his first jewellery in the Art Nouveau style in 1904 in Denmark. Today, the jewellery designer is world famous. In 1901 Jensen completed his studies as a sculptor at the Royal Art Academy of Copenhagen and worked with the court jeweller Michelsen. His jewellery is conceived in simple and elegant lines that lead the jewels to be extraordinarily pure, beautiful and timeless. Form and function meet in admirable harmony in his jewels. Georg Jensen’s luxury and elegance is distinct in a unique way, through its high-quality artistic workmanship.
