An attractive Cocle 'Buho' chalice with avian-head, Costa Rica, c. AD 600 - 800, the squat body with tall foot, the mouth near vertical and with the visage of a bird with curved beak, eyes and a tuft of feathers on each side of the face. H: 5 1/4 in (13.3 cm).
