Description
A lot of two 19th-20th century Asian vessels. The first is a small two-piece container, South East Asia, made from silver with nice wire and filigree decoration. The lower compartment is a thin, shallow bowl, H: 1 3/5 in (4cm), D: 2 in (5.8cm). The second is a small bronze footed vessel, beautifully detailed. On one side of the body is a budding flower and a leaf in relief with other floral decoration incised. The other side of the body is decorated with a flying bird in relief and incised leafy plants. The handles are nicely crafted as elaborate birds with flowing tails, H: 2 in (5.2cm). Ex estate of Charlotte Vern Olson. Charlotte was form north of the city, and she had a vary large collection of 17, 18th and 19th Century porcelain, as well as items like that lot you purchased. We are aware that she traveled often to buy items.
