This lot represents a gorgeous & Scarce 1997 Connoisseur Collection Burmese, Ltd. Ed. Fenton hand painted Jacobean Floral table lamp, with the rare & exclusive tapered cylindrical Burmese stem shroud. Our example is Ware #4505WD, and represents a very low #16 of 750 Limited Edition lamp, designed by Martha Reynolds, and masterfully hand painted by Diane Gessel. This Fenton Art Glass Burmese Treasure explodes under black light, plus is in wonderful condition, and weighs 8# 10 oz., and measures 11.5 x 11.5 x 22.5 inches tall (about 27 with the chimney). This is another VERY VALUABLE LOW NUMBER FENTON JEWEL WAS ORIGINAL SOLD AT $500. xxxxxxxxxxxxx. The U.S. Hazardous Materials Act of 1942, banned the commercial use of all Uranium, reserving it for the U.S. war effort. From 1942 until 1959, Fenton was restricted from all Uranium Oxide formulas. Fenton produced a myriad of beautiful Topaz, Topaz Opalescent, Topaz Iridized Opalescent items, Burmese and Green Uranium figurines & smalls, from the 1960s, right up until the end.
