Description
The AEAA is very pleased to present this next piece of valuable Green Uranium (Vaseline) glass from the respected Loren (Butch) Morse collection. This lot represents a handsome and GIANT 1930s hand blown Green Uranium pie crust rim, covered pedestal compote from one of the the excellent West Virginia / Ohio River region glass houses. As with lots #101 & #112, this fantastic compote features a crystal section in the stem, and an absolutely unique undulating vertical rib pattern. SEE LOT #168 for the brother to this heirloom. This Uranium treasure is topped with a European style ball crown finial. Our compote explodes under black light, and is in wonderful condition, weighing a hefty 2# 4 oz., and measuring 6.5 x 6.5 x 11.5 inches tall. Loren Morse was a respected family man and Vaseline collector, and his untimely passing a year ago was a blow to everyone. The Morse family gratefully appreciates your participation in this Estate sale.
