This lot represents a stunning ca. 1997-1999 Fenton Art Glass scarce Topaz Iridized & Opalescent Plume & Flower pedestal compote. This ground up plume server is accented with beautiful oval florals, and a fiery Opalescent hexagonal, gently ruffled rim. This gorgeous Fenton explodes under black light, plus is in wonderful condition. This brilliant compote carries the proper oval sticker, used from 1997-2009, and base mark with the 9 indicating the 1990s decade. Our example weighs 1# 4 oz., measures 5.75 x 5.75 x 5 inches tall. xxxxxxxxxxxxx. In 1959, Fenton was the first American company to re-issue their Topaz (Vaseline), and shortly thereafter the Green Uranium glasses, subsequent to the expiration of the Hazardous Materials Act of 1942, which banned the commercial use of all Uranium, reserving it for the U.S. war effort.
