Rare Chatam Sofer Pewter Charity Plate, Pressburg, 1818, Judaica.
The Chatam Sofer Rabi Moses Sofer was the Rabbi of the city of Pressburg when this plate was used.
The pewter plate is stamped with the Pressburg community Hebrew seal: The charity society (Chevra Kadisha) of the holy community of Pressburg (initials) and dated in Hebrew equivalent to 1818.
The back is marked with pewter marks and maker mark as seen in the pictures.
