englisch um 1630. Zweischneidige, flach gegratete Klinge mit Fehlschärfe. Am Ansatz beidseitig doppelt geschlagene Inschrift "GI. PORMIREL * PORLAFEY". Eiserne, fein durchbrochene (etwas korrodierte) Schale mit eingerollten Parierstangenenden. Originale, grün verfärbte Hilze mit eisernen Türkenbünden. Gefluteter, olivenförmiger Eisenknauf. Länge 121,5 cm.
Vgl. ein ähnliches Rapier in E. Valentine, Rapiers, London 1968, Nr. 30. circa 1630. Double edged-blade of flattened octagonal section with ricasso. The inscription "GI. PORMIREL * PORLAFEY" is stamped twice on both sides of the ricasso. Fine open work iron (somewhat corroded) cup with quillon finials scrolling inwards. Original, greenish discoloured grip cover with iron braided ferrules. Fluted, olive shaped iron pommel. Length 121.5 cm.
