Description

Offered is a large ceramic or porcelain Buckeye Root Beer Syrup dispenser. This piece is in the usual urn shape that this company used for their dispensers. However, this dispenser is rather unique as it is black with "Buckeye Root Beer" lettered in gold and not the common white lettering, which is so often found. The base, with the wording also in gold, is marked, "The Cleveland Fruit Juice Co., Cleveland, Ohio." This dispenser has its original pump dated, "Dec.14, 1920" with the plunger marked, "The C.F.J. CO." The size is approximately 14 inches tall with pump x 8 inches at the widest point. This piece has not been cleaned or polished in years and has some great multi-colored toning to it. There are no chips or cracks, but there are a few spots that are slightly different in color and appear to be under the glaze.
