Group of Six Christofle Silverplated Cups, 19th c., with engraved borders and a cartouche engraved "Ida," with a gilt washed interior, from the family of Andre Bienvenu Roman, Governor of Louisiana from 1831-1835, H.- 2 1/2 in., W.- 3 1/4 in., D.- 2 1/2 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. There is a ¼” section of damage to the gilt wash at the bottom of one of the cups. Another cup has several smaller spots of damage to the gilt wash on the bottom and interior walls. A third cup has some pitting on the bottom interior surface of the cup. Light wear otherwise.
