Description
1. "Taschen-Kalendar Farn Yahr TSH"Z 1946-1947" [Pocket calendar For the Year TSH"Z 1946-1947], edited by Abraham Handler. [Munich?], American Zone, Germany: The Jewish Department of the Center for Revisionist Zionism in Bavaria, 1946. Yiddish and Hebrew.
The cover illustration is by the artist Arthur Szyk, who illustrated a number of Revisionist publications at the time. The booklet opens with the text of “Yizkor," and then a historical chronicle of Zionism from a Beitar perspective. Also includes biographical notes – some illustrated with photo-portraits – of a number of Jewish authors and Beitar and Zionist leaders. [2], 80, [1] pp, 15 cm. Good condition. Some stains and a few creases and wear marks.
2. Songs of Beitar [Brit Yosef Trumpeldor]. Munich, American Zone, Germany: Department of Culture and Information of the New Zionist Organization Center, 1946. Frontispiece photograph portrait of Ze’ev Jabotinsky. Parts of the title page and pages 59 and 66-68 (the table of contents) are in a typewritten font. Handwritten dedication written in the Bad Reichenhall Displaced Persons Camp. [3], 6-68 pp, 14.5 cm. Very good condition. Rare; not in the National Library in Jerusalem.
3. "Census Card" certificate indicating that "The Beitar member [...] was counted in the Beitar census in Germany, Rosh HaShana 1948." Bad Reichenhall, 1947. 14 cm. Good condition.
