This is the rare HYBRID version (first pressing hybrid) - The U.S. first issue LP (found on four known variants of the ABC black label, approximately 50,000 copies pressed [1,2]) and its 1970 radio promo remain, to date, the only official vinyl versions of James Gang Rides Again with the full, uncut "Bomber" medley containing Ravel's "Bolero." On nearly all first issue copies, the "Bolero" segment of "The Bomber" is not only present on the record, but is also listed on all of the album artwork (back of jacket, in the gatefold and on the Side 1 label).

Caveat: There is an exception to the above criteria for a first issue LP. During the transition from first issue to second issue albums, the very last of the original 50,000 albums are first issue records packaged in second issue jackets. These "hybrids" are still considered first issue, because despite the modified, second issue jacket (with no reference to "Bolero"), the record inside – with "B. Bolero" listed on the Side 1 label and the "Bolero" segment present on the record – is in fact the correct, unedited, first issue vinyl record. Includes a FREE album, "THIRDS" by the James Gang.
