Southern Peru, Pre-Columbian, Ca 300 to 200 BCE. Exceptionally rare gold tweezers decorated on one side with a stylzed jaguar, other side has a seated bird, delicate fillagree surrounds each creature. Just like modern tweezers, these were used to pluck hair from the face of men. Custom stand. 2-3/8"H x 1-3/4"W. 17.5 grams of high karat gold.
