Saddle Rug, Tibet, Late 19th C., 2'1'' x 3'8'' (64 x 112 cm). Weight: 5 lbs. Wool. Warp-face back saddle cover. With classical Wangden medallions. These highly stylized medallions reference foliated dragon medallions of early Chinese carpets. Ex. Robert P. Piccus collection.
