Description

An Edwardian embossed silver mounted hair tong warmer box, with all over foliate decoration and vacant cartouche to the lid. Hallmarked Mappin and Webb, London 1901. Measuring 9.5cm x 5.5cm x 4cm, gross weight 10.28ozt (320g).

Condition Report:

The top cartouche has several holes to the scroll
Clasp keeps the lid in place
The top and bottom are slightly warped
Some minor dents and scuffs
The tong supports do not stay in place when upright
Hallmarks are clear and legible to the lid and slightly rubbed to the base.
