A Georgian silver campana vase, the egg and dart rim above ornate grape vine border, engraved 'Coleshill Cricket Club The Thomas Forbes Challenge Cup 1950' to neck, the bulbous lower body with alternating acanthus leaf decoration and shell scrolled twin handles. Hallmarked indistinctly, with probably George III duty mark. Height 19.5cm, weight 31.6ozt (984g).

• Item's condition is commensurate with age and use, showing some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
• Silver gauge is quite thick, and silver is bright and shiny.
• Item appears to be compressed slightly to left side, and edge of base creased, so item has a notable wobble.
• Area of neck twin-opposed to engraving displays a few small bashes, amongst a larger one.
• Lower body is consistently bumpy and textured, horizontally across widest area. This is visible especially to interior.
• Lower body shows a few deep dints.
• Areas surrounding decoration show some dark tarnishing.
• Stamps to hallmarks are clear, but detail to all but partial maker's mark and duty mark are illegible due to rubbing.
