Huaka Ceremonial Belt, Leque Region, Department of Cochabamba, Early/Mid 20th C. This double woven belt depicts a menagerie of native birds and horses important in the Aymara world. A piece such as this is only used for ritual purposes and other significant events. A hidden pocket is found in a striped area of the belt. Size: 5'6'' x 0'3'' (168 x 8 cm).
