花觚喇叭口，長頸，圓鼓腹，短脛，覆鐘式承座。白瓷胎，胎質細膩，器內及底座 內皆施松石綠釉。器外壁施黃釉為地，繪番蓮紋及八寶吉祥紋為主題紋飾，纏枝蓮 盛開托起法輪、法螺、寶傘、白蓋、蓮花、寶瓶、金魚、盤腸結，並運用描金分界 技法，沿下飾如意雲頭紋，頸飾蕉葉紋，足飾回紋間隔，增加色彩對比美感。頸、 腹交接處飾回紋一周，間以紅料橫書「大清乾隆年製」六字篆書款，字體端正，排 列整齊。

清代在乾隆帝博雅好古之情懷下，宮廷仿古器極為盛行，《欽定四庫全書－西清古 鑑、卷二十三》，商〈父甲觚〉，可為本品仿古藍本之參照。觚為佛堂供器 之一，常與燭台及爐組成五供，奉於佛前。由於乾隆皇帝篤信藏傳佛教，多次下旨 燒造禮佛用瓷，對其樣式要求極為嚴苛。

據《清檔》載：「乾隆二十四年閏六月十八日，傳旨照銅掐絲琺瑯五供、掐絲琺瑯 八供??等佛堂供器畫樣，同時對五供養、七供、七珍、八寶亦畫樣呈覽，準時交 舒善做木樣帶往江西燒造瓷器。」乾隆在位期間不僅造就清朝鼎盛，製瓷業也達歷 史頂峰，不僅釉彩豐富、品類繁複且製作技藝高超，如本品之造型樣式，即多有借 鑑銅掐絲琺瑯、金、銀等工藝。台北國立故宮博物院庋藏清乾隆〈黃地五彩瓷五供 （觚）〉與本件花觚極為相似，其紋飾構圖繁複華縟，設色濃豔，同為乾隆 粉彩器之代表。誠如邵蟄民撰《增補古今瓷器源流考》記：「清瓷至乾隆而極盛， 器式之多亦莫與倫比。」本品造型挺拔俊秀，黃釉色澤鮮豔，構圖疏朗有致，粉彩 濃淡相宜，紋飾寓意吉祥，充分展現宗教的莊嚴與宮廷之貴氣。

傳世的乾隆五供器，黃地者本就甚少，同類作品於市場亦寥寥可數，可參見拍賣於 香港佳士得 2004 年 11 月 1 日，編號 1147，清乾隆〈黃地洋彩纏枝蓮托八寶紋花 觚〉，造型、紋飾及款識與本品相似，可資參考。
