白玉質，細膩瑩潤，光澤瑩瑩。全器立體圓雕大小二艘槎船相並，後方大槎為一株桃樹 幻化而成，枝幹延伸至上方，果葉繁茂，桃實飽滿豐碩。桃樹下雅士頭戴斗笠，曲身搖 櫓，船中花盆栽種萬年青，旁有二童子摘取萬年青嬉戲；前方小槎為大槎的枝幹所延 伸，承載花籃，籃中有花、桃實與靈芝。整體蘊含「祝壽」、「一統萬年」、「乘搓進寶」 等寓意。清宮舊藏，北京故宮博物院庋藏清〈青玉乘槎圖擺件〉，雕琢題材、造 型皆與本品極為類似，應是取自同一樣稿之佳作，可資參考。

槎，意為水中浮木，因可載人而行，後被用作木筏的代稱。在中國古代，濱海地區水天 相接的自然景觀容易使人們誤認天上的天河與陸地大海相通，因此，人們將此種能夠往 來海上和天河之間的木筏飛行物，稱之為「浮槎」、「仙槎」。「仙人乘槎」典故最早見 於西晉張華所著《博物志》：「舊說雲天河與海通。近世有人居海者，年年八月有浮槎去 來，不失期。」記載海邊居民乘槎泛海，相遇牛郎織女的奇遇故事；明清時期是「仙人 乘槎」形象的蓬勃期，其被大量運用在書畫、瓷器、玉器、犀角器、竹木器等工藝美術 品，更附加祝壽寓意於其中，借此傳達「壽誕綿綿，長生不老」的美好願望。
