Description
Two pairs of Fortuny silk damask curtains, first half of the 20th century, Italian, with a 17th-century design incorporating flowering urns, scrolls and dogs in gold to a red ground, each drop 119cm wide at pleated top edge 166cm wide at bottom edge 243cm long (4) Provenance: Paul and Talitha Getty, Rome, by repute; George Sherlock Antiques, New Kings Road, London; purchased from the above by the present owner, c.1984. Condition Report: Areas of Damage: excellent with few tears in lining only. some fading on one side of edge of curtains...very faint
