Beautiful Baule seated figure from Ivory Coast. Baule statues usually vary from 10 to 60 cm in height. They are standing on a base with legs slightly bent, with their hands resting on their abdomen in a gesture of peace, and their elongated necks supporting a face with typically raised scarification and bulging eyes.
Good condition with wonderful aged patina and beautiful detailed coiffure. The figure is standing in a rustic style with his hands on his abdomen.
