Pre-prohibition, by "Kaufmann & Strauss Co. N. Y." as marked. Decorated with the architectural rendering of the Haffen Brewing Company complex on the corner of 152nd Street and Melrose Avenue in New York, with "The J. & M. Haffen Brewing Co." written across the sky. Mounted in a shadow box for display. Culmbacher was a very popular lager style German beer brought to the U. S. in the 2nd half of the 19th century.
