Description
This is a powerful sculpture of two Moose in a fight. They brace themselves for impact and lower their heads down towards the ground, their muscles are tight and their stance sturdy. They fight over a female to prove themselves as an able, strong mate and to release their tension and aggression towards each other. Bull Moose shed their antlers each winter and grow a new set each spring but during this process, they can become loose and fall off, a sign of victory to the other male. This is a beautifully created and unique piece of art that has great detail and a patina done to perfection. The antlers on these creatures are a bold gold, their bodies a light brown with a dark brown patina to define the muscles and other details their lower legs a silver that leads into dark brown hooves. This sculpture lies on a large solid black marble base and is cast using the ancient Lost Wax Method. Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base: Height 11 X Width 31 inches. Weight: 55 LBS.
