Elmer Crowell (MA, 1862-1952), Widgeon
East Harwich, Massachusetts, circa 1930, carved and painted wood, glass eyes, rectangular stamp.
Length 15.5 in.
Crowell is known as one of the greatest decoy makers and bird carvers of all time. His son, Cleon Crowell (1891-1961) later joined his father and together they produced extremely well made decoys commercially.
