Coinjock, North Carolina, circa 1970, carved and painted wood, incised AT.
Length 15.5 in.
Hambone was one of the most respected of all Currituck carvers, producing large birds that rode the Currituck chop well. He hated to paint, and decoys actually decorated in his hand are in highly sought by collectors.
