A Large Tiwanaku Puma Incense Burner Bolivia, c. 450-650 AD Earthenware with burnished red-brown, tan, and black slips. In form of a stylized puma with a large body that is the bowl of the burner with a scalloped rim. The head is raised in a fierce expression, mouth open, snarling, showing fangs. Short paws at front, a short tubular tail and loop for carrying at the back. In very good condition, repaired from original pieces with restoration over the break lines.
