Greece, middle of the 8th century BCE.
Small bronze statuette of a horse with large mane and extended tail. These bronze horses are very much coveted and have brought huge money at auctions recently. Examples not too dissimilar from to this have brought upwards of $50,000 at the major auction houses - See Christies Lot 61, Sale 2565 with price realized of $50,000. 2-3/4"L x 1-3/8"H.
Provenance: Ex- Helen Horwitz Estate, acquired in Egypt during the 1920s.
