Roland H. Clark (1874 - 1957) Pair of colored aquatint etchings on paper, signed by artist bottom right in pencil and each individually number. "A Straggler, Broadbill" numbered 110/250. "Taking off, Blue Wing Teal" numbered 179/250. Published by The Derrydale Press, who issued two Clark waterfowl etchings every year from 1937-1941. Roland Clark was born in New Rochelle, New York in 1874. He graduated from the William Kellogg School in New York City, then pursued his formal art training studying drawing and painting at the Art Students League. His sporting paintings and etchings soon brought him international acclaim and in 1938 he was asked to create the Federal Duck Stamp design.
