Item Details
Description
During the Renaissance, the act of committing to marriage took place as a formal ceremony with vows, considered sacred and unbreakable exchanged. A ring was given by the man to the woman to bind the pledge and worn until the marriage. That practice is believed to derive from the custom of providing a bride's price or dowry. This example is size 4 3/4 with a 2.7mm rounded face band. The bezel is of elongated oval form, flanked by addorsed incised ribs on each side. It has been professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and is gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Excellent and good wearable size for the small finger.Purchases of one or more ancient jewelry lots (that have $13 flat shipping prices) will only cost $13 in total combined shipping. •Celtic Roman Viking Medieval Norse Scandinavian ancient ring bracelet necklace
