Outstanding, early, and significant leading example of the artist's work in which figures watch from the cliffs while multiple ships struggle to stay clear of the dangerous rocks. Superb handling of water, light, and clouds, reminiscent of Peeters greatest work. We can simply and affordably fix the minor tear on the top left. displayed in a vintage gilded frame with artist labels and plaque inscriptions on the back.
