Large and important Yaka (DRC) circumcision post, used to line the route to the circumcision ceremony for boys. Textiles hang around neck and cover his thighs. His face still retains blue and white pigments. Left foot damaged,mounted on custom base.Dimensions: 42.75". Provenance: The estate of Jean-Pierre Hallet. S/H to be determined by desstination.
