Two important sterling silver cigar / cigarette boxes which belonged to the 18th Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick (Canada), the Honourable Murray MacLaren. 1) Frederick Bradford MacCrea, London, 1899, sterling silver box with cedar inlay, measuring 2 3/4 x 7 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches, maker's and assay hallmarks, monogrammed, weight 1,071 grams. 2) William Hair Haseler, Birmingham, 1934, sterling silver box with cedar inlay, measuring 2 1/8 x 6 5/8 x 3 5/8 inches, maker's and assay hallmarks, monogrammed, weight 475 grams. Total weight 1,546 grams.
