Item Details
Description
Design by Ole Storle. Made by Wagner & Zwiebel. Wisconsin - Late 1880's. The Butting Ram Bank was made in a machine shop as a private commission based on Ole Storle's patented design. The operation of the bank is refreshingly simple. Place your coin in the groove at the top of the tree stump and push the lever down rather firmly. The giant ram charges forward at the man. In the same moment, the seated man leans back and raises his thumb to his nose, as if to further taunt the unruly beast.
