Swiss pocket watch designed by Jean-Moise Badollet & Cie.

Gorgeous medium lady demi-hunter pocket-watch, created in Geneva Switzerland at the watchmakers workshop of Jean-Moise Badollet & Cie, back in the 1886. Its a demi-hunter meaning that there is a window hole with a glass that allows for a quick view of the time. This pocket watch was retailed in France in the 19th century and was crafted with three hinged lids in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and embellished with applications of black, gold and grisaille enamels.

The complete case is work with applied glossy glass enamel. The main lid is decorated in the Grisaille enamel technique, accented with gold applications showing the portrait in high relief of a noble lady dressed in classic ropes facing to the left. The reverse back lid is decorated with Roman numerals in gold which are encircling the glass window, all framed in high relief with gray-white garlands made up in enamel. It is fitted on top with a movable ring to wear in a chain-necklace, a fob or in a dangling brooch (Included).

Dial: Round in black enamel, analog with white Arabic numerals and gold simple hands, all inside a white dotted circle. In perfect condition, no cracks.

Case: Demi-hunter with 10 mm glass, made in 18 Karats yellow gold, numbered 856778. Enameled in grisaille and black. Signed J. M. Badollet & Co. Geneva.

Movement: Swiss 26mm (5/0s), mechanical hand winding.

Diamonds: Mount in flush incrusted settings, with 4 European rose cut diamond of 0.08 carat, white colorless G color, SI clarity.

Weight: All parts combined are 42.50 Grams, (27.24 Dwt).

Measurements: 47 mm by 33 mm by 9 mm (1.85 x 1.30 x 0.35 Inches).
