The Rolex Daytona stands among the most desirable of the prestigious makers' lineup. From the first officially named Daytona, Ref:6239, the watch has been updated periodically to keep up with the times while maintaining its essence. In 2000, Rolex updated the watch again with the 116520, replacing its predecessor the 16520 which used the Zenith El Primero movement. The new Calibre 4130 used fewer parts, improving its efficiency, precision, and performance. In addition to the updated movement, the case had been redesigned with glossy lugs and was fit with a bracelet with solid links.
