A probably Roman carnelian intaglio, carved to depict a warrior, with later snake motif ring mount.Ring size K. 5.1gms.
Condition
Surface scratches and minor marks.Slight discolourations where the snake heads join, possible later band. Small marks to the back of the ring head.Slight wear tot he engraving.Agate chipped, general abrasions.Length of ring head 1.4cms.
