Description
A late 19th century gold split pearl cross pendant.Foreign marks, partially indistinct. Length 7.3cms. 8gms.
Condition
Surface scratches and minor marks, few small dents.General discolouration.Split pearls appear fairly well matched.Partial marks to jump ring, possibly French.Electronically tests to reverse as approximately 20ct gold, presumed gilt finish interference.Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked.
