Description: A charming gold-plated or gold-filled overlay safety fountain pen, octagonal barrel and cap engraved with guilloche and scrollery designs, with two bands decorated with clover motifs in the niello technique. 101mm. The turning knob is stuck and the nib cannot be extracted. Since the nib cannot be examined and there is no brand imprint on endpiece or overlay, it is difficult to identify the maker, although Astoria is a possibility. Except for the stuck turning knob the pen is in excellent condition, with an elegantly engraved monogram on captop ("PQ"). A beautiful and enigmatic instrument, worthy of repair.***********************
