Description

Mid-20th Century bust of Venus de Milo or Aphrodite, the goddess of love. The sculpture stands on a pedestal base and features exquisite details. This replica is based on the ancient Greek sculpture created during the Hellenistic period by artist Alexandros of Antioch between 150 - 125 BC. Good vintage condition; needs a little cleaning. Measures approx. 7 1/4? wide × 4 1/2? deep × 13? high. Provenance: From the collection of the late MASSIMO COMOLI, celebrated opera set designer and architect, best known for working with the late Gianni Versace on the redesign of the iconic Villa Casa Casuarina in Miami Beach (formerly known as the Versace Mansion).
