Vintage / Authentic Blackthorn Walking Cane, with brass tip. Painted black over the " thorny " portion of the cane to preserve the light wood. The paint shows crackling and a few chips. The Blackthorn bush has been prized for centuries in Ireland & the British Isles as a material for premium walking sticks. Another use of a Blackthorn stick was for the Irish Shillelagh. 35 inches to curve; 37 inches overall. Please see the photos to determine the condition.
