Description
NASA Astronaut Edward Gibson Personal Patch Collection. These patches are original from the 1970s and include Apollo XII, Skylab and Skylab II, all missions Gibson was involved in. Gibson (b1936) is the last surviving member of the Skylab 4 crew. This 1974 mission was the longest (at the time-broken by Soyuz in 1978) mission ever conducted in the history of space exploration. Gibson retired at the end of 1974, returned in 1977 Chief of the Astronaut-Scientist Candidates then retiring for good in 1982. Single owner collection inspired by the 1969 Moon Landing.
