Description
This is an amazing piece of NASA history. Banner, appears silk, was created to celebrate Project Mercury, the first US space program, beginning in 1958. There were six manned flights between 1961 and 1963. The McDonnell Aircraft Engineer Campus, located in Hazelwood Missouri, where space exploration all began. Retains what appears to be the original wood pole and gold cord. Made by Banner Year, Inc and measures approx. 9" x 12". Single owner collection inspired by the 1969 Moon Landing.
