Description
A 1953 Hopf Solist archtop guitar, serial #27, in sunburst. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. From his collection of German archtop guitars of the 1940s-1960s which he acquired of a period of 30-plus years.
Appears to be Gustav Glassl-made, 319 model shape. Blue “Original Hopf” interior label. Seven piece maple neck with 20-fret ebony fretboard with pearloid black diamond inlays. Sunburst body with a spruce top, flame maple back and sides, large catseye sound holes. Adjustable ebony bridge, harp tailpiece. Multi-ply binding of faux shell, black, and white layers.
Includes black hardshell case with crushed wine red interior.
