Description
Giant Japanese 20x power binoculars of the type used on naval vessels. Purportedly this example came off a Japanese destroyer. Binoculars are marked "20X3 TOKO NO 457" & w/ a Japanese symbol. Optics are cloudy. Binoculars measure about 24" in length & 12" in width. Front of lenses measure 5 1/2" in width. Rear measures about 1 1/2". Lens knobs turn w/ right knob being a bit stiff. Binoculars have a pebbled black finish on tubes & black enamel finish on other parts. American made Dietzgen U.S.C.E replacement tripod present in good condition w/ scattered wear. CONDITION: enamel parts show scattered flaking, other parts show scattered oxidation & staining. (02-19770/MJC). $1,500-2,500.
